Lynching is a holdover from Jim Crow and while it has been reduced, it has not been eliminated. Richmond, VA, USA was home to many deep racial prejudices that still exist today. It is critical to remember that civil rights struggles continue and that it is a social issue that causes much suffering all over the Earth.
